Step 1: Getting the Cross

The first step is getting the rubiks cube to make the "top" a cross (we will use white in our video demonstrations as the top color).

Step 2: Getting theTop and First Row

The second step is to have the first row in each side (not the bottom) equal to the color of the center square of each side.

Step 3: Getting the Second Row

In order to solve for 2nd layer (right) you have to arange the cube so that one of the edges on the bottom is opposite the side of its color, and that the color attached to that edge isn't yellow.

Orientation

Start by designating the color on the bottom edge as primary, and this color becomes the front (blue in image above). The color attached to the blue edge piece is designated as the secondary (orange in image above).

Algorithm

Face the primary color towards you, then turn the primary side (front) into the secondary color, turn the bottom into the secondary color, turn front back to starting location, and then turn the bottom back to the its starting location. Now turn the secondary side into the primary, allign the white row, and fix the top.

Step 4: getting cross on bottom

For this step your objective is to get a cross shape on the bottom.

Orientation

Orient the cube so that the bottom is facing you
